A more useful sink zone: the workstation approach
Give prep, rinsing, and cleanup a deliberate place with a sink designed around your routine.
Find your everyday flow. The sink is often where dinner actually begins. It is also where the kitchen gets crowded: produce, dishes, tools, and wet hands all compete for the same few feet. A workstation layout is one way to organize that activity. Start by identifying the tasks you want to move into the sink zone, then choose a model that supports them.
Choose a real workstation model
The ALFI brand ABFS3020 and ABFS3320S are listed in our Workstation collection. Both use a step-rim fireclay design and are described in the catalog as supplied with accessories. Check the individual product description and images for exactly what is included with your selected model. A large bowl alone does not make a sink a workstation.
Design the surrounding landing space
Picture the complete meal, from setting down grocery bags to washing the last pan. Reserve a dry area beside the sink for hot cookware and clean dishes. Keep frequently used tools within reach. Compare the 30-inch and 33-inch named models against your cabinet plans, using the detailed manufacturer dimensions rather than treating the model name as a cutout template.
Make the faucet part of the plan
AB2028 is a single-hole pull-down kitchen faucet in brushed stainless steel. Its style can complement a focused prep area, but placement still matters. Check how the spout sits over the bowl, whether a window or shelf limits movement, and how the faucet mounts beside an apron-front sink. Confirm hose routing and plumbing space below before ordering.
These are design ideas and alternative product directions. Featured sinks and faucets are not automatically compatible sets. Confirm your selected SKU, dimensions, mounting, and plumbing with your installer.
