Farmhouse fireclay with a softer, more personal look
Use an apron-front sink as a character piece in a warm, contemporary kitchen.
Find your everyday flow.An apron-front sink does not require a room full of rustic details. In a considered kitchen, it can be the one expressive piece among simple cabinets and quiet surfaces. The goal is balance: a sink with character, a faucet that feels comfortable to use, and enough surrounding space for everyday life.
Choose the front you want to see every day
ALFI brand AB537 combines a fluted apron with a double-bowl layout. The front brings rhythm to otherwise smooth cabinetry. For a simpler silhouette, ABFC3020 is cataloged as a smooth curved apron fireclay sink with a single bowl and grid. View the actual product photography and consider how the front will relate to door styles and drawer lines.
Single bowl or double bowl?
Think about your largest tray, favorite stockpot, and approach to washing dishes. Two bowls create separate work areas; one bowl offers a continuous space. Neither arrangement suits every household. Measure the items you use most and compare the listed bowl details. Overall outside dimensions tell only part of the story.
Give the installation equal attention
Apron sinks influence the cabinetry, countertop opening, and support beneath the bowl. Discuss the selected model with the cabinetmaker before the countertop is fabricated. Confirm the relationship between the sink front and adjacent drawers, including any nearby dishwasher. Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions for the glaze and use only cleaning methods approved for that sink.
